Lasse Ringius is the IFC Program Leader for Clean Cookstoves with more than 20 years of global experience across a range of climate change and clean energy sectors with specialization in environmental markets in emerging markets.  He is also responsible for new financial products to mobilize climate finance resources, such as carbon-linked bonds, and IFC’s emissions trading advisory work.

Prior to joining IFC in 2009, Ringius was transactions team leader at the World Bank for Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism projects. He has a Ph.D. obtained from the European University Institute (EUI) in Italy, and is a visiting scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States.
