Chief of Party, Catalyzing Clean Energy for Bangladesh (CCEB- Funded by USAID)
For the past 20 years Craig VanDevelde has provided field leadership in the design and implementation of long-term development projects. A majority of his programs have operated at the intersect between clean energy and economic growth where he has developed and delivered solutions that are socially and environmentally beneficial as well as economically sustainable. Craig is currently Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Catalyzing Clean Energy in Bangladesh (CCEB), a five-year project designed to mitigate climate change through improving energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. Under CCEB Craig is working to develop the Improved Cookstoves market in Bangladesh through provision of business and technical advisory services to all links in the ICS supply chain. The program has been successful in establishing multiple local suppliers producing efficient solid biomass burning cookstoves, linking suppliers with regional distributors, and attracting grants and subsidy supports to the sector. Prior to CCEB, Craig delivered clean energy, natural resource management and economic growth programs in the former Soviet Union, the Middle East, and South Asia.
