Director
Dr. Ashley Pettus is the founder and director of Global HearthWorks Foundation (GHWF), a non-profit based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She most recently funded and managed a pilot project in Lusaka, Zambia to test market demand in low-income neighborhoods for sustainably harvested fuel wood in combination with an improved rocket stove. Dr. Pettus holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from UC Berkeley and previously worked as a freelance writer before founding GHWF in 2014. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the United States.
