Agnes Naluwagga is an electrical engineer by training. Currently she is working as a Regional Cookstoves Testing and Knowledge Centre (RTKC) coordinator at the Centre for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC), Uganda. A member of ISO TC 285 Working Group 2 on Laboratory Testing Methods, she is a leader for Standards and Testing committee for the Uganda National Alliance for Clean Cooking which is working towards improvement of the quality of cookstoves on the Ugandan market by providing inputs for minimum performance requirements and labeling for cookstoves.
Previously Naluwagga worked on a project that aimed at strengthening existing and embryonic SMEs in sub-Saharan Africa involved / interested in sustainable energy investment and key stakeholders involved in pro-poor renewables development through training and investment support. One of the key technologies promoted was improved biomass cookstoves.
