Research Associate
Adrian received a bachelor’s degree in Biology by the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC), Argentina and a PhD in Natural Resource Management by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Adrian’s broad interests are energy security for the poor and spatial modeling of natural resources potential, with emphasis on wood-energy. In particular, Adrian’s research interests are a) spatial assessment of the environmental impacts of fuelwood extraction and charcoal production under traditional or low-tech patterns; b) woodfuels supply/demand scenarios by means of prospective landscape simulations; and c) spatial analysis and modeling of bioenergy potentials. Adrián is currently an Associate Professor at the Environmental Geography Research Centre at UNAM.
