Gender Capacity Building to Strengthen Business Models

Businesses can strengthen their own effectiveness and increase impacts for women by conducting gender assessments or developing gender action plans. These are just two examples of the Alliance’s gender capacity-building tools that will be discussed during this session. Participants will learn how to conduct a gender analysis using the Alliance’s gender due diligence tool directly from enterprises and hear firsthand experiences and examples of gender interventions currently underway. Additionally, the session will highlight investors’ perspectives on the importance of understanding a potential investees’ gender-informed approach as they evaluate clean cooking sector enterprises for potential investment.
