Greg Murray has 18 years experience in entrepreneurship, finance, strategy and operations including over a decade building commercial ventures in Arabia, Brazil, Africa and Asia.  In 2007 he co-founded CleanStar Ventures, an investment and development group that leverages technology and business innovation in frontier markets.

A key focus of CleanStar in recent years is the displacement of dirty fuels in urban Africa, initially through a large ethanol cooking fuel pilot project in Mozambique, and more recently through investing in the creation of SmartCook Energy.  SmartCook Energy’s hardware and software technologies disrupt the urban African cooking fuel market, whilst providing an unprecedented platform for accessing and delighting the urban majority.
